A Vote For Lori Is A Good Win

As Jefferson County’s next Family Court Judge it is my goal to ensure that litigants leave my courtroom knowing they have been listened to and have an opportunity to present their case in a respectful environment. I care about reunifying families, when appropriate and keeping families safe and secure in difficult times.

When children are involved my ultimate goal is to render rulings that are in their best interest; it will be my goal to make decisions that foster and encourage a child’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being, happiness, and security.

My Story

I am a proud native of Louisville, Kentucky who has had a lifelong passion and dedication to public service. My entire legal career has been devoted to providing legal representation for the most vulnerable in our community.  For over twelve years I have worked at the Legal Aid Society representing clients in Family Court. The time I have spent working in Family Court has created a responsibility to enlighten, empower, and uplift others.  It would be an honor to continue this charge as the next Family Court Judge in Jefferson County, the heart of Louisville, Kentucky.

I am a graduate of Seneca High School and I received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Louisville (UofL).  At UofL, I was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and was a member of the University’s Intercollegiate Debate Team.  After graduating from UofL  I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to attend Marquette University Law School. While at Marquette I served as a  member of the Public Interest Law Group, President of the Black Law Student Association, and was an Associate Editor of the Marquette Sports Law Review.

Eager to begin my legal career I returned to my hometown and began my career at The Legal Aid Society of Louisville.  During my tenure at Legal Aid, I have worked entirely within the Family Court system.  I represent clients in dissolution of marriage actions, protective order hearings, paternity, and custody actions.  I also serve on Jefferson County’s Fatality Review Committee.

I hope that my desires will come to fruition and that I will be able to continue serving my community as your judge in Jefferson Family Court, Division Three.
